Bring clean and dry shoes to change into before you go onto the dance floor. Shoes that allow you to slide and twist a little may be a good starting point before you are ready to purchase dance shoes. 

You may eventually want to buy dance shoes. We don’t recommend any specific product, vendor, or store; however, there are YouTube videos and online stores that you might find useful when searching for “West Coast Swing dance shoes.”
